Help Sparsh Trust Provide Stationary to Students

We believe that education is essential to move forward towards a bright future. On our visits to the rural belt between Kalyan and Murbad  (Maharashtra) we observed that a number of children had enrolled into school and were the first generation in their families to do so. 

While this spoke volumes for the hard work the community and the government had put in to get these children to school we also realized that they had no one to turn to for guidance post the school hours and to assist if additional support in a particular subject was required.  The night schools were started to address this issue as well as keeping the child engaged and in school.

We have collaborated with Mr. Somnath Raut and his team are the backbone of the project and cater to 350 children across 9 Villages between Kalyan and Murbad. (Dahavali, Chavare, Poi, Hal, Konavadi, Adiwali, Kunda, Mhaskal and Hirechiwadi) 

The night class includes children from ages 6-14 and has designated days to cover syllabus for Marathi, Hindi, English, Science, Math, and Civic studies. Games, social activities and outings are planned on Sundays along with lunch. 

About NGO 

Sparsh has been founded on the principle of”Jivadaya” and  “Helping those who Help Others”. For more than 12 years we have undertaken various projects with a focus on Human and  Animal /Bird Welfare. In the domain of human welfare we have achieved success with projects pertaining to nutrition, education and vocational training. Our animal welfare initiatives involve rescue, rehab and foster for sick animals and birds along with assistance in infrastructure development for other NGOs in an effort to maximize our reach to the number of sick animals and birds found frequently all over the city.
