CORONA MAY NOT YET HAVE MEDICATION, BUT HUNGER HAS A SOLUTION
ISKCON Varanasi are already working on the following:
Providing free daily meals to the families of daily wage workers like laborers, housemaid, rickshaw pullers.
Providing training in cleanliness and hygiene required to prevent Corona.
Providing basic medical things like masks, sanitizers.
Arranging online courses for counseling in the times of current crisis.
They are distributing food to the people at multiple centers. Following is the detailed account of distribution of food at each center-
At NCR, their ISKCON Dwarka Delhi temple is distributing 60000+ plates of full meals every day.
At Pune, their ISKCON NVCC temple is distributing 20000+ plates of full meals every day.
At Mumbai, 30000+ plates daily
At Ahmedabad, 2000+ plates daily
At Vadodara, 4000+ plates daily
At Surat, 500+ plates daily
At Trivandrum, 500+ plates daily
At Varanasi, at their local ISKCON temple, they have distributed 4800 meals till now, and have given corona medical training to 30 families. Distributed 180 masks and 50 sanitizers (up to 26 March) through their IYF wing. Now they want to do much more.
Note: Donations towards this fundraiser are not eligible for any tax deduction such as 80G, 501(c) etc.
