Project
Dhyan Foundation has taken up the MASSIVE task of helping the Border Security Force (at the Indo-Bangladesh border) in rehabilitating cows, bulls and calves of all age groups which were rescued from being illegally transported to slaughter houses across the border to Bangladesh.
In year 2019 approx 8500 cattle rescued by BSF at the Indo-Bangladesh Border, are being taken care by Dhyan Foundation , out of 8500 approx 6000 Cattle have already been rehabilitated in Dhyan Foundation Gaushalas and other verified gaushalas in nearby states.Remaining 2500 cattle DF is feeding and taking care in temporary shelters near various border posts along West Bengal, Meghalaya and Tripura border which are to be rehabilitated soon. We are working with 15 BSF battalions in West Bengal,Meghalaya and Tripura. Everyday 30-40 rescued cattle are joining Dhyan Foundation family and many more await Help.
Dhyan Foundation taking care of the rescued cattle which were being tortured in the most cruelest manner,they are starved,beaten mercilessly,stuffed in vehicles and many of them tied with banana trunks and legs with ropes then they are dropped in the rivers in Malda, Murshidabad, North 24 Parganas, Nadia districts and other areas to float and to be received by cattle smugglers on the other side of river(Bangladesh), many of them die in between. Not only this some of such cattle, with an IED (improvised explosive devices) placed inside a small aluminum canister tied around their neck, were recovered from the river near the Harudanga border post along the south Bengal frontier.
