Support Meal for Orphan Special Needs Children

THE GENESIS OF ASHAJYOTHI:
The story of struggle with disability within one family evolved into AshaJyothi welfare center for Handicapped children.Bala Jyothi, the only daughter of Mr.Mareedu Venkata Swami, the Founder President of AshaJyothi, had severedevelopmental delays since birth. The family took her to different places including Raivellur to improve her condition. They also put her in a Special School where she showed little to no improvement. After one year she was diagnosed with Brain Tumor and passed away on December26,1995. Within four days her grandfather who was very close to her passed away too. After the loss of his daughter and father, knowing the struggles faced by challenged for lack of adequate services, Venkata Swamy with his only son RaviBabu decided to help the poor and orphaned challenged children. Ravi Babu underwent a training in Tagore Hari Prasad Institute at Rajahmundry on “Rehabilitating the Children with Mental,Babu discussed with his wife Madhavi, father and other family members and started, ASHAJYOTHIHANDICAPPED WELFARE SOCIETY, a voluntary organization on June 22, 1998 to support children with any kind of disability.

WHAT WE NEED:

At present we have an average monthly deficit of Rs.1,50,000/ for which every time we have to approach different individuals, institutions, shop keepers and markets. This has been a difficult task and we are forced to do it as there is no alternative.

Since 2000 to 2009 we applied for Government Aid through the concerned departments, but we didn’t received any grant. After that we are maintain with the sponsors.
