Every girl and woman deserves to have a safe and comfortable period. Unfortunately, there are lakhs of them who don’t have access to water, let alone menstrual hygiene products. Moreover, these products are expensive and not easily found for those in rural areas. The women end up using cloth which can lead to many conditions like UTIs and other serious illnesses.
We’ve come this far in so many areas, but still, we’re behind when it comes to women’s health and welfare. Fortunately, there’s a silver lining.
Voice Of Slum Wants To Distribute Sanitary Pads To Thousands
Pee Safe, India’s leading personal hygiene product brand wants to do its bit to help uplift and empower thousands of women. #HaqSePeriod, an initiative started by them, works towards menstrual hygiene and aims to spread awareness and educate women across the country about the importance of menstrual hygiene. They focus on fighting taboos and stigma around menstruation that still exists in the country.
From Kashmir to Karnataka and Gujarat to Tripura, Pee Safe has distributed over 10,00,000+ sanitary pads to over 60,000 women in over 150+ cities.
Now, they want to help the women of Noida by teaming up with Voice of Slum.

Dev and Chandni’s NGO, Voice of Slum, is a non-profit, youth-driven organization that is working relentlessly to transform the lives of slum kids of Noida. They take care of their education from the pre-primary level until they graduate, and also work hard to give them good opportunities so that they can break the shackles of poverty and become self-reliant.
Pee Safe and Voice of Slum now need your help to empower hundreds of women and help them get sanitary pads. This will greatly improve their lives and give them a chance to have a safe period every month.

Voice of Slum is an NGO based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Its mission is to assimilate street children into mainstream society by providing them with quality education, exposure, and access to opportunities. The NGO is run by those born in slums, who have been through it all. They now want to help women get access to sanitary pads.
