Project
Currently, Sangini is educating 100 children who never went to school or are school dropouts in Ghaziabad Uttar Pradesh and has educated 200 students and mainstream them in government school. Their parents are generally working as a street vendor or are daily wage earners. Sangini's mission is to provide these underprivileged and marginalized children with quality education and bring them to the mainstream.
This lockdown has hit everybody hard but the worst sufferer is these underprivileged and marginalized children who do not get a chance to go to school or any other study center to continue their studies. To date, we have enrolled 250 students in government schools so that they can continue their studies but due to the Covid-19 situation, they are also sitting back at home.
During the lockdown, we have provided
the classes at their home so that these children would be able to continue
their studies. All the stationary had been provided so that they can study by
sitting back at home.
In the absence of having a mobile phone with a wi-fi connection, online classes were not possible therefore for their better understanding we have distributed educational kits having activity games, home worksheets, books, and other stationery so that they can study at their home also.
The situation is still more or less the same and Sangini is working hard to arrange the resources for the increasing number of students. If these children now have not been engaged in an educational activity they will land up in becoming the helping hand of their parents and start earning.
ABOUT THE NGO
Sangini Ek Soch was founded in the year 2019 in Delhi and is working continuously for the underprivileged and marginalized children education in the age group 4 to15 years. Along with this, we are also running a cutting and tailoring center for women in a rural area of Uttar Pradesh with an agenda of making them financially independent.
