Rare Condition is a deadly disease that cannot only take away the person you love but can destroy your family. Imagine when rare condition affects the ones you love, especially children. That’s a pain that nobody should go through. Rare Condition treatment is so expensive that it doesn’t only destroy you financially but it also robs you of happiness and leaves you with nothing, sometimes not even hope.

This is what happened with Goutham Chander’s close friend. His daughter was diagnosed with rare condition and the way it impacted the family was terrible. The family had to go through torment while getting their fragile child treated for a disease she doesn’t even know of. Not only was it hard for them to understand what was going but they couldn’t explain it to their daughter. 

At an age where they should be out there playing with their friends, they’re confined to a hospital room battling a disease they know nothing about. 

When Goutham witnessed the way it devastated their family in all aspects, he was inspired to start an organization that would one day eradicate Rare Condition. As a result, Sankalp - A Beautiful World was born in 2015. It was created with a hope to create a world where they can provide hope to these children suffering from this deadly disease. 

The team at Sankalp strive towards making India a rare condition-free country while they seek solutions of various kinds to help those who are suffering from rare condition. There are over 21 professionals including doctors and academicians in Sankalp’s team. Each day, they work towards their mission of a rare condition-free India while providing viable and sustainable solutions to ease the pain and suffering of rare condition. 

Rare Condition is not easy, especially for children. These brave children battle this deadly disease each day with the hope that they could have a normal life. 

In these tough times, when the entire world is battling with CoronaVirus, there are thousands of rare condition patients and survivors who are struggling. These individuals are already immuno-compromised and a risk of contracting COVID-19 can wreak havoc on their lives. 

Sankalp strives to help child rare condition patients with grocery kits and nutritional supplements. They also provide year-round service of free expert opinion for people diagnosed with rare condition.

Goutham Chander witnessed the impact of a close colleague’s daughter affected by rare condition, it ignited in him a passion to establish an entity  that would provide hope for the suffering and one day eradicate the cause.
