The Animals Of Raahat, Dehradun Need Your Help

Raahat has seen a rise in the number of community animals that are being brought in for treatment. We provide no-cost treatment and post-operative facility to all street animals in our care. In addition to this, we have also been supporting a lot of individual feeders and local animal welfare groups with feed, medical supplies and money. 

With Covid impacting all spheres of life, it has become increasingly difficult for not just our animals, but the animals on the street and their feeders.  We, therefore, request you to kindly support our campaign and help us help more animals.

We are a recovery and post-operative facility for the sick and injured street animals and also provide a lifetime sanctuary to special need animals and slaughter/ritual sacrifice rescues.

At present we house over 150 animals that include pigs, bulls, cows, buffaloes, horses, donkeys, mules, goats and birds, in addition to lots of dogs and cats on our campus.

Raahat also conducts Birth Control and Anti-Rabies Programme for the community, as well as companion dogs and cats. 

We also support other social / animal welfare organizations with similar objectives.

Raahat; an initiative of People for Animals - Dehradun, was started with the objective of providing peace and comfort to all animals in distress. The Raahat Animal Hospital & Sanctuary is spread on a campus of one acre in Nanurkhera, Dehradun. Raahat is a Vegan Animal Sanctuary. Driven by our belief in the intrinsic dignity and sanctity of animal life, we do not feed our patients (barring cats) any animal product.
