Project
As you know the previous campaign on donatekart helped us raise funds for both food and construction material. It was a successful campaign and it greatly helped us to provide nutritious food for the 900 off animals- cats , dogs , horses , donkeys , cows , goats , sheep etc in our care and those street animals we were feeding during the lockdown.
Importantly with the help received from donatekart we have completed the construction of the new shelter and construction of dog, cat and horse shelters are in progress.
Since we have completed the construction of the cow shelter we have also Immediately started rescuing pregnant cows, mother cows and calves from slaughter.
We have further taken into our care 5 condemned police horses from the Tamil Nadu Government.
The cows at the shelter are all rescued from slaughter and from the brutal interstate cattle trafficking from Andhra to Kerala .

PFA Chennai is a 28 year old well renowned trust working for the cause of animals in practically every sphere of animal use and abuse. Besides campaigning for animal rights and working on national policy changes for the care of animals we also run a cage free- chain free shelter for close to 900 animals in Redhills Chennai. These animals include dogs , cats , horses, ponies , donkeys , pigs , birds , goats and sheep. All of whom have been rescued from purposeful human violence or slaughter.
