13-Month-Old Ali Fights for Every Breath. You Can Help
“I am not educated, but I am hardworking, and I have only one prayer for someone to help save my son. Whoever helps us will be no less than God for me.” Mohammed Chand, father of 13-month-old Ali Hasan
When baby Ali Hasan was born in Muzaffarnagar, his family's joy was unbounded. However, their happiness quickly turned to worry and heartbreak. Ali, just 50 days old, became unconscious, and his frightened parents took him to the nearest hospital. Following examinations, doctors revealed the awful news: Ali was born with not one, but two holes in his little heart (ASD/VSD).
Doctors told Ali's family that without immediate treatment, he has only 40-50 days to live. Since then, every day has been difficult.
Baby Ali Fights For Every Breath.
Ali's disease causes him to turn blue and become unwell every half hour. His parents rush to give him medication to get him back to normal. He has difficulty breathing and frequently needs fresh air or a cooling device to be stable. To assist Ali to breathe easier, his father purchased a steaming machine, which he uses in conjunction with medications.
Despite all attempts, the danger escalates. His oxygen levels plummeted abruptly, leaving him gasping for air. Doctors have warned that without immediate open-heart surgery, Ali's prospects of survival are dwindling.
A Family In Desperate Need.
Ali lives in a humble one-room home in Muzaffarnagar with his parents, three siblings, and an old grandmother. Mohammed Chaand, the father, works as a painter and earns only ₹500 each day. The majority of the money funds his other children's education and daily living needs. His wife is a homemaker who is striving to keep the family together while caring for their sick infant.
There is no financial help from the extended family. The financial strain of preparing ₹13 lakhs for Ali's surgery in Dehradun exceeds their capacity.
The Only Hope Is Surgery.
Doctors have made it clear: open-heart surgery is the only chance to save Ali's life, and it must be performed as quickly as possible. Every delay increases the possibility of his oxygen levels becoming dangerously low.
Ali's father acknowledges that while he works hard, he cannot save his kid on his own. I hope that good individuals will step forward. Your assistance can allow my son to live, smile, and call me 'Abba' as he gets older."
