A Growing Tumor Has Left 8YO Afsa Crying In Pain Every Day

“Afsa was a happy girl before. She played, laughed, and filled our home with noise. Then she started crying day and night. She cannot sit or stand without pain. I watch her suffer every hour. I do not know when she will stop crying. I do not know when I will sleep again.”  Her mother speaks with tears in her eyes.

Her pain grew with her age

As Afsa grew, the pain grew too. She used to run around the house. Now she holds her back and cries. Her mother thought it was a small problem, but the pain kept getting worse. Doctors finally told her the truth. Afsa has a spine tumor. She needs surgery before the tumor affects her ability to walk.

“The doctor said the surgery will cost a lot of money. I do not have even enough to run my home. How can I arrange money for something this big? I am a poor woman. I have no one to turn to.”

Her father is also unwell, the family is collapsing under hardship

Afsa’s father works as a labourer, but he is sick with a serious back problem. He cannot lift anything heavy, so he rarely gets work. Some days they eat very little. Some days nothing at all.

She needs surgery that her parents cannot afford.

Doctors at Panacea Hospital have said that immediate surgery is the only chance to save Afsa from permanent damage. The cost is 12 lakh rupees. Her parents have no way to arrange this amount.

“She is only eight. She should be in school, not on a hospital bed. I want her to grow up. I want her to live without pain. Please help us. Only you can save her life.”

Her mother has nothing left except hope that someone will step forward for her child.
