This is probably the most difficult time for the people of India. There is death and tragedy everywhere you look. Whether it’s our own friends and family, someone we know or in the news/social media, the pandemic has affected everyone. 

MadHouse is a company started by two young minds wanting to foster art and dance through the platform. The current situation of India is saddening and the cases have been rising at an alarming rate. The second wave has proven to be even more fatal than the first one, sparing no one. 

In this crucial time, MadHouse has announced its campaign ‘Move for a Motive’, which is centred around Covid and the distress that it has caused to the population. The goal of the campaign is to bring together the dance community to raise funds and offer support to organisations working selflessly for the cause. Through art and dance, it aims to unite people to collectively fight the war that Covid has put us in. The campaign  also involves a two-day workshop with various talented and renowned artists, the proceeds of which will be given to organisations who are actively working for covid-relief.

With over 20 million cases, the country is fighting the worst second wave. Our healthcare system has been brought to its knees, and thousands are losing their loved ones due to the lack of oxygen cylinders, hospital beds and other necessary medical equipment. There is so much helplessness around.

However, even during these difficult times, there is still hope. People have proven to be extremely resilient and generous with NGOs from across the country coming forward to lend a helping hand to save lives. And this is where you come in - by supporting these NGOs you will be helping thousands of people get access to life-saving medical equipment like oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrators, PPE kits and masks among others. Your contribution will help our partner NGOs get these products for those struggling to survive right now. 

The following are the NGOs: 

1. Doctors For You (DFY) is a pan India humanitarian organization with an international presence that focuses on providing medical care to vulnerable communities during crisis and non-crisis situations, emergency medical aid to people affected by natural disaster, conflicts and epidemics.

2. Voice Of Slum: Voice of Slum is an NGO based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Its mission is to assimilate street children into mainstream society by providing them with quality education,  exposure and access to opportunities. The NGO is run by those born in slums, who have been through it all. They now want to help other slum kids have a better life. Since last year, they have helped thousands get by during the pandemic. They wish to do the same this year with your help. 

3. Humanity First Foundation was founded by Mohammed Shujatullah. They serve nearly 1000+ needy people free healthy breakfast at 3 government hospitals every day. It was started in 2016 and is based out of Hyderabad. Their mission is to eradicate hunger regardless of caste or creed. They also serve orphanages in addition to the hospitals. During the current crisis, they have ramped up their operations to help those in need, and currently want to help people get oxygen cylinders.
