Help Lal Sakhi Provide Menstrual Cups To Rural And Tribal Women To Come Out From Period Poverty

Despite making progress on many fronts, there continues to be an immense amount of stigma around women and their menstrual health. In rural India, there are lakhs of women who have no access to period products or have no awareness about menstrual hygiene. 

Period poverty is one of the many challenges women face on an everyday basis. Several of them are deprived of even the most basic resources, and due to their lack of access and awareness, they’re left with nothing.

We wish to educate women to adopt a menstrual cup over plastic sanitary napkins and tampons that take years to degrade. Helping women adopt a cup is not just what we work towards but also understanding the deepest problems that come in this adoption process and solving them.

To promote gender equality through an action-oriented approach focussing on new age products and services for health and sanitation leading to opportunity and development.

Our Mission

To reach women of all socio-economic strata while successfully instilling one lakh menstrual cups by the end of 2023 and meeting the Sustainable Development Goals.

About NGO

LalSakhi-The Women’s Voice works with the most vulnerable groups across the world, Women and Children. Lal Sakhi was started in December 2021 formally. Before that we ran activities for 2 years to create awareness among rural and urban masses on the usage of menstrual cups. The Products that we focus on - Menstrual cups, guidebook to help women understand and adopt menstrual cups. Beneficiaries would be underprivileged women and girls who do not have financial means to take care of their period needs.
