About Campaign:
The work that we do, we call it “spot-fixing”. Basically, we choose a dirty spot in different areas of Nagpur. Then, the permission is taken in writing from the local authorities of that area or the owners (in case of a private property). On the spot day, we start by cleaning the garbage lying on the spot. We receive the full support & co-operation of the NMC authorities & the safai karamcharis in cleaning & picking up the garbage. After cleaning, we paint the nearby walls using terracotta paint & beautify these spots by making Warli art all over them.
We do this with the hope that people, who visit these places after they have been cleaned & painted, will not dare to litter them again.We have majorly taken up bus stops all over Nagpur. Some of our prominent spots include main Railway Station,Maharajbagh,SBI Main Branch, Civil Lines.
We are not an NGO but a voluntary organisation.We are not registered by the government or neither have we received any funds from it.The money is either collected from nominal monthly donations given by the volunteers or anyone who is interested in helping us. We prefer receiving the materials as donations, that we need on the spot, rather than taking money.
