Feeding hungry individuals and spiritual seekers at historical places holds significant cultural importance in India. This act of providing food to others is deeply rooted in tradition and is considered a noble act of service. It is widely believed that by feeding others, one serves God himself. This year, the HareKrishnaMovement (HKM) is on a mission to feed over 10,000 hungry individuals and spiritual seekers.

The feeding drive not only adds to the festive spirit but also fosters a sense of community  

During special occasions, this place witnesses a surge in the number of visitors. Providing free food during these times is seen as a form of celebration and hospitality.

Many of these seekers are poor yet they make the journey to be a part of the festivities. This is their only chance to forget their everyday worries and to enjoy the celebrations.

It is not an easy life to lead, one of renunciation. To leave oneself entirely to the ways of the divine powers requires great faith and sacrifice. They are completely dependent on the kindness of people to survive. For people like them, nutritious meals provided by the HKM are nothing less than a godsend.
