Help us to procure toiletries for the Shelter Home for Women run by Good Samaritans India, Bahadurpally.

The campaign aims to procure toiletries for women at our Home. We are adding an average of 4 women every week with 30 more Women by September/October. Your support will help us provide for these Aged, Abandoned and Widow Women, as the need is of a more coercive approach. In addition to Nutritious food, we are providing Medical and Hygienic support to all our residents.

Apart Physical therapies we also strive to provide psychological support to overcome their Mental trauma which shattered them. Your support will help us enrich and empower these Women to answer the call of nature with dignity and respect which they deserve. Good Samaritans India, Shelter Home for the Women Project. Most women before coming to Good Samaritans India were either found to be on the roads,alone and abandoned by their families, or lost their way in mental trauma(due to their mental illness).

Some of them are forced to beg on the roads and sleep on pavements insecure and lost. This costs them to bear in terms of mental, physical pain and monetary loss when they are exposed to unhygienic conditions. These Women are neither enrolled for pension nor have any financial support, as most of them are uneducated or in-abled to hold their own burdens. How they come to Good Samaritans India, Shelter Home for Women. Despite of covid-19 crisis We are one of the frontline NGOs, relentlessly working during this pandemic to serve the aged homeless people in contending their rights.

These women are rescued when they are found in a state where they are compelled to strive for survival and basic sustenance. We have been rescuing since 2010 till date with the help of information from the locals' as we are active in social media, reaching ourselves to the needy people across the state. Good Samaritans India is an official rescue partner to the Elderly Spring, an helpline number started by the TATA Trust working parallel with the Govt of Telangana. At present these women are either rescued from the locals' providing information to the Police or by contacting the State Women Helpline and District Welfare Officer, (Woman and Child Welfare Department of State Government).

Few of them who are mentally ill are given treatment and proper counselling with the help of our retained phycologists and medical staff to look into their anguish. After successful rehabilitation, we rejoin them with their families. Women who cannot put forth themselves live with us towards their last hope. Most of them around 65% are bedridden who need extra care in everything from basic necessities to keep them healthy and giving them few dignified and respectful days. Our NGO ensures a virtuous funeral, performing the last rites with respect to the persons' ethical life giving them an end journey on our shoulders, keeping their hopes alive.

Ever since we started taking comprehensive care of these women, we have been pursuing one single goal – make them restore their life with a little peace of mind and give them space for a noble death. Accordingly, all the basic needs are met from giving good food, clothing, recreation and making her one of our family members with more than 45.
