Feed Lakhs Of Devoted Pilgrims During The Puri Jagannath Rath Yatra

Feel free to ask Campaigner for a new update on this Fundraiser.

    Project

Spirituality and festivals are profoundly significant in India, serving as the cultural and communal life bedrock. Rooted in millennia-old traditions, these celebrations offer a sense of continuity and belonging, fostering unity and collective joy.

One such festival is the famous Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra, also known as the Festival of Chariots, which is believed to be the world's oldest and largest chariot procession. Pilgrims and devotees, driven by unwavering faith, undertake long journeys to witness and participate in the grand procession of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra. However, many of these devoted travelers have limited resources and find it challenging to arrange nutritious meals. They starve for days without proper food.

The Gauranga Seva Foundation wants to ensure that these pilgrims are not just spiritually fulfilled but also physically nourished

The Rath Yatra is not just a religious event, but also a powerful expression of inclusivity and unity. It attracts millions of devotees from all walks of life, transcending social, economic, and cultural barriers. The brightly colored chariots are built every year and drawn by devoted pilgrims. It is believed that touching the rope of Lord Jagannath’s chariot cleanses one of the sins they have committed, knowingly or unknowingly.

Gauranga Seva Foundation is an organization based out of Odisha that has been working for the betterment of people for over 15 years now. They have served over 13 crore meals and impacted countless lives through their feeding programs in orphanages, schools for the visually impaired, grocery distribution during various natural calamities, etc.

Just like the previous years, they are providing freshly cooked, wholesome meals to the devotees who visit Jagannath Puri during the Rath Yatra.

“Our mission is simple yet profound: to serve humanity by feeding those who come in devotion, ensuring they can focus on their spiritual journey without the worry of their next meal,” - Mukund Prabhuji.

With your help, lakhs of people will receive freshly cooked meals with love

Last year, over 7000 kind donors came forward to support the Gauranga Seva Foundation - countless souls got nourishing meals during this auspicious occasion. However, running such a large-scale feeding program requires significant resources. From procuring fresh vegetables, grains, and other essentials to cooking and distributing the food, every step involves dedicated manpower and support.

“This is where we need you. By contributing to our cause, you are not just donating a meal, you are offering a devotee the strength and energy to continue their pilgrimage.”

Donate cooked meals and groceries and make this feeding drive during Rath Yatra a tremendous success. Your contribution will help uphold the spirit of service and devotion.
