Bharat Has Saved The Lives Of 700+ Abandoned Elders & Children. Help Him To Change Their Lives!

"We work very hard for orphaned and abandoned kids, the elderly, and the destitute. We also strive to give physically and mentally disabled children a second chance at life. For those without a family, we are their family," says Bharat Nagda, Founder of Muskan Sansthan. 

They empower the vulnerable and give them the love they deserve 

Muskan Sansthan is a beacon of hope in the tribal areas on the border of Gujarat and Rajasthan. These regions don’t have fertile soils, so agriculture is not an option. There are also no industries to provide jobs to the youth.

“Young people here have to leave their homes and travel to nearby states for work. The pay is so low that it’s barely enough to support their families, so they have to leave their old parents and children behind,” Bharat shares.

There is a lack of education, and superstition runs deep, making life even harder for these communities. Men and women marry multiple times, often abandoning children from earlier marriages. Many kids lose both parents and are seen as burdens by their relatives. Poor nutrition and healthcare mean many children become specially-abled. 

Right now, Muskan Sansthan is caring for 300 orphans and 100 specially-abled kids. Their dedicated teachers work closely with these children, helping them find their strengths and teaching them to stand on their own two feet. It’s a far cry from the life they knew, where they were starving and alone.

“We rescue them from terrible situations. Some are even chained up in a room. Here at Muskan Sansthan, we give them the love and respect they deserve,” Bharat says.

They are also looking after over 50 elderly people whose families have abandoned them. Bharat and his team have even performed last rites for many who had no one else. In their final years, the team at Muskan Sansthan is their only family.

Their team of 150 dedicated people works day and night to provide nutritious food, medical care, and a sense of belonging to everyone here. Some of their residents are too old or sick to even eat or go to the washroom by themselves. Their loving staff is always there to help with everything, no matter how big or small.

Muskan Sansthan is more than a shelter—it's a family.

Bharat shares that running Muskan Sansthan costs around 20 lakhs every month. Without regular donors, he ends up covering most of it himself. They've been getting by with rented spaces, but now they dream of building a permanent home for their residents.

"And for that, we really need your help. We need your support with groceries, medicines, and construction materials. We also need a roti-making machine and an ambulance to keep our mission going strong."
