One Of The Deadliest Earthquakes Of The Century Has Destroyed Turkey, Help Now

Feel free to ask Campaigner for a new update on this Fundraiser.

    Project

A massive earthquake of 7.8 magnitudes has ravaged Turkey and Syria and the death toll is almost surpassing 35,000. Two fresh earthquakes of 5.6 and 5.7 magnitude hit Turkey on Tuesday, 7 February, a day after mass destruction on Monday.

Over 12,873 people died in Turkey and at least 3,162 in neighbouring Syria. The fear, helplessness, and debilitating impact of the catastrophe have brought together the international community together. International organisations, nation-states, and non-profits are doing their best to deal with the situation at hand. Donatekart along with the organisations on-ground are going to great lengths to support those affected.

Considered one of the deadliest earthquakes in the century, it has devastated countless families

People are scrambling for food and shelter. Some unfortunate ones have been forced to watch their loved ones wither away under the stone rubbles as they helplessly cried before help could reach them.  Parents are holding their children in blankets and walking the streets of the city to keep them warm. While the temperatures have dropped considerably, families are unsure of going back to their buildings - they’re sleeping in cars or in makeshift tents.  Turkey lies in one of the world's most active seismic zones. Thousands of buildings across both countries have collapsed. Some of them were as large as 12 storeys high but have now been reduced to mere dust. Turkey's energy infrastructure has also been damaged and explosions have taken place in Southern Turkey. Among the buildings destroyed was Gaziantep Castle, a historic landmark that has stood for more than 2,000 years. Gaziantep, Kahramanmaras, Diyarbakir in Turkey, and Aleppo in Syria are some of the major places affected by the disaster.

They’re crying out for help, join our efforts to support them in this hour of need

People are still trapped under the debris and the aid that these countries are sending is often not enough considering the scale of the catastrophe. Countless lives ended while so many are struggling for the bare minimum. The buildings have been reduced to dust and people have to live on roads in this freezing weather. They’re in need of food, clothes, medicines, hygiene products, woollens, tents, tarpaulins, etc.

Donatekart Foundation is requesting all of you to come forward and help those affected by this disaster - a simple donation will go a long way. The products you donate will be sent to the organizations that are working on the ground and you can rest assured that they will reach safely to those in need. This is your chance to save lives and make a difference.
