The Elderly In Varanasi Are Starving & Suffering, Help Chote Gurdar Look After Them
Feel free to ask Campaigner for a new update on this Fundraiser.
Project
Started over 60 years ago in the holy city of Varanasi, Chote Gurdar is more than a home. This ashram is a place where hundreds of aged people are looked after with respect and dignity.
Chote Gurdar Ashram Is Dedicated To This Noble Cause
Every elderly is welcome at Chote Gurdar, where their food, shelter and even medical needs are taken care of by the dedicated members of the ashram whose sole mission is to care for them in the best possible way.
“They’re given three fresh and warm meals every day, blankets, a roof over their heads, and medicines that they need. So many of them have been left to fend for themselves only because they stopped contributing financially to their families or are too old to help in any way. After taking care of their families all their lives, they’re left with nothing when it matters the most. They don’t deserve to live like this during their last years.”
Many of the senior citizens and sadhus that come to Chote Gurdar are in the last years of their lives, and at the ashram, they ensure that these last few years are filled with peace. All of them that come here find a permanent home at the ashram and remain until their death.
About the NGO:
Chote Gurdar is an ashram in Varanasi where senior citizens and sadhus from all over are given food, shelter and medicines. Many of them who come here, remain at the ashram until their last days and are given a life of respect and dignity. They have been helping people for more than 60 years now.
