Haryana’s First Hospital For Cows Needs Your Support To Save Thousands In Need

Sunil mentions how he had visited many gaushalas that were doing commendable work of taking care of the gaumatas and nandis, but he hardly saw any fully-equipped hospital for the injured and diseased animals. 

“We have around 12 ambulances and a dedicated team of 30 veterinary doctors who work day and night to give these cows a comfortable life. We have performed around 2000+ surgeries that include C-section, hernia removal, horn rare condition, amputation, or taking out iron and plastic from the stomach of the cows. Our operation theatre, X-ray, and ultrasound machines help us take better care of these animals.” 

In the past years, Gokul Dham Animal Hospital has rescued and treated around 71,000 cows and other animals like peacocks, monkeys, and nilgais in need. They are a safe home to 2000+ cows, out of which hundreds are paralysed and need constant care. These cows are in no condition to live on the roads and the dedicated staff does everything they can to keep them comfortable.

More and more injured cows are left stranded on the roads with no one to care for them. We want to help each one of them. My dream is to give the best facilities to these injured animals and for that, I would need your support.”

About the NGO: Spread over 3.5 acres of land beside the Haryana Jhajjar highway, Gokul Dham Gau Seva Mahatirth is the first-of-its-kind animal hospital in Haryana. It was established in 2013 by Sunil Nimana with the sole purpose of helping injured and abandoned cows who are left on the streets to fend for themselves.
