Feed a hungry being, feed your soul

Titas Mukherjee, along with her husband Somak Chatterjee, run a registered animal shelter named Animal Rescue and Care at Thakurpukur, Kolkata, India. 

Its one of the trusted organisations in Kolkata working relentlessly since last 5 years providing food, treatment and shelter to the Furies in distress and conducting sterilization and vaccination drives at various places.

The ongoing Corona related national lockdown has affected food sources of all street animals to varying extents. 

Street dogs and cats of many residential areas are affected to a degree because public eateries have closed down and their feeders are sometimes not turning up for fear of lockdown. But worst affected are dogs and cats living in places where there is no residential building nearby and their only food source is public eateries/visiting feeders, e g office districts, shopping towns, large educational complexes, factory complexes, game/entertainment parks, transport terminals (rail/bus/airport). Also similarly affected are dogs living on busy roads/highways with food shops/eateries on them but no residences nearby.

They are regular feeder in their locality and around their shelter home. They feed 350+ dogs throughout the year on daily basis and now in this critical situation they are feeding 250+ extra dogs now on alternative days since things are not fully normal yet and food sources are uncertain. These animals are very much dependent on them now for their food as their other sources are blocked as of now. They need support to continue this feeding program.

They also provide treatment, vaccination and organising spaying drives to make this extra feeding successful.

Please help them with food so that they can continue feeding them and help them stay ALIVE.
