“The reality on the ground is heartbreaking! Each day we see hundreds of people suffering. Yet, there is only so much we can do. Our hands are tied and how! The chaos, the confusion, the pain and desperation is just too much,” - Dev, co-founder, Voice of Slum.
As Delhi and NCR region reel under the pressure of the second wave, the slum dwellers are the worst hit by the crisis. These people are in no position to afford two square meals a day - affording an oxygen concentrator is out of question for them.
But this is a herculean task and they won’t be able to do it on their own. That’s why they need you to come forward and help them distribute these essentials during this crisis.
At a time when people are dying without proper medical attention, even a small amount of help will make a big difference. Together we can save many lives.
About the NGO: Voice of Slum is an NGO based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It’s mission is to assimilate street children into mainstream society by providing them with quality education, exposure and access to opportunities. The NGO is run by those born in slums, who have been through it all. They now want to help other slum kids have a better life. They have helped thousands in the last year, during the pandemic. They wish to do the same this time with your help.
