This essay aims to highlight the importance of providing ration kits to the underprivileged people of Delhi who are unable to afford a single meal due to the aftermath of the flood.
The Crisis at Hand: Natural disasters like floods have far-reaching consequences, and the aftermath often hits the marginalized sections of society the hardest. As floodwaters recede, they leave behind a trail of destruction, displacing families from their homes and depriving them of their livelihoods. In such situations, securing basic necessities like food becomes a daunting challenge for the underprivileged, as their already limited resources are depleted.

Objective: Our primary goal is to distribute ration kits to the flood-affected, underprivileged communities in Delhi. These kits will include essential food items, such as rice, wheat, lentils, cooking oil, salt, sugar, and other non-perishable items that can meet their nutritional requirements for a specific period of time. By doing so, we aim to ensure that no one goes hungry in these difficult circumstances.

About the NGO: Ever since the constitution of Utthaan Women Power Foundation by some like-minded people belonging to different age groups and different sections of society, our organization has been working on some devoted issues of women and child development, Health and Nutrition, environment, education, ‘micro-enterprise promotion, Human Rights, Globalization, Social Research, Rural Development Cluster Development, protection and promotion of the rights of different vulnerable segments of society, and management of natural disasters.
