Dharam Raj Ranka Has Rescued 5000+ Innocent Cows From Cruelty, Support Him

Feel free to ask Campaigner for a new update on this Fundraiser.

    Project

Dharam Raj Ranka (81), once a jeweller, has dedicated his life to the service and protection of cows. His commitment to the cause goes beyond just setting up gaushalas, he is actively involved in the day to day activities and ensures that every cow is given the best care.

“Once a cow stops giving milk, she is sent to a slaughter house where she’s tortured and killed. It’s very sad to see this happening so often. So many of them are abandoned, and are found injured on the streets in a lot of pain. I started Satyam Dietym Sundaram Gau Nivas to help these cows and give them a place to call home.” - Dharam Raj Ranka, Founder, Satyam Dietym Sundaram Gau Nivas

Satyam Dietym Sundaram Gau Nivas is South India’s biggest gaushala, located on three acres of land in Hyderabad and home to over 5000 cows. These cows, after going through a world of pain, have found a safe place where they can be healthy and happy all thanks to Dharam Raj Ranka.

Thousands Of Cows Are Looked After With Love & Care

Dharam Raj Ranka has been fighting for the rights of cows since 1991. What started as a small effort with 200 cows is now only increasing in number and support. Today, the 5000 cows at Satyam Dietym Sundaram Gau Nivas are given shelter, fodder and medical support. Above all, they’re given love and respect.

“We rescue these cows from slaughter houses, and don’t exploit them for milk or use them only for what they can give us. Our aim is to give them a peaceful and carefree life.”

The gaushala has over 100 staff members and two veterinarians to help with any medical issues. They also produce fertilizers for local farmers. However, despite doing their best to feed and protect these gentle creatures, the gaushala faced a major hurdle with the Covid-19 pandemic.

They Had No One To Help Them

With lockdowns and lack of funds, Dharam Raj Ranka and his team were struggling to feed their cows. The people who would usually donate fodder, couldn’t help any longer - people couldn’t leave their homes, they lost their jobs and had no means to support themselves.

“We were struggling to feed the cows, we didn’t know what we would do. Everyone was going through so much themselves, so they couldn’t come forward to help.”

While things have slowly started to look up after the devastating second wave, the gaushala continues to struggle. They now need your help to feed 5000+ rescued cows fodder to survive.

Your Support Can Save These Cows

Your contribution will ensure that these abandoned and injured cows get fresh fodder and live a healthy life. They have been given a second chance at life and don’t deserve to spend their days starving.

Over 5000 innocent cows will be saved with your help.
