Hunger is an all-pervading problem and luckily, it does not take too much to resolve this problem. Giving food to a hungry soul may look like a short-term perhaps even myopic solution, but it matters a lot to the hungry person.
Research has proven that lack of access to timely food has turned many a people into hardened criminals. Let us make sure no one goes hungry. We at Rice Bucket Challenge encourage everyone to donate a bucket of rice to the needy and help them get over their immediate problem of hunger. India is a rice loving country and it is something can be stored (non-perishable for a few years) and almost everyone in India can cook it.
Most orphanages run on donations and when those run out, there is a danger that the inmates, especially the young ones, may have to go hungry. Donating buckets or bags of rice will ensure the kids are fed and their basic requirement is taken care of. As part of this campaign, we encourage people to donate rice (from 5 kg to whatever they choose) to Maa Illu Orphange through DonateKart and ensure the kids grow into healthy future citizens.
Use your birthday or wedding anniversary or work anniversary to share your joy with these kids. While you may feast on a biryani, these kids at least can eat a happy, but simple meal of cooked rice.
