5-Year-Old Devansh Needs Urgent Help To Fight Blood Rare Condition And Survive

Feel free to ask Campaigner for a new update on this Fundraiser.

“My son cries all the time and asks me when he’ll get to go back home, and I have no option but to lie to him. I keep telling him we’ll all go back in a few days. He says ‘pinky promise, papa?’ and I just smile. But how can I promise him that he’ll fight blood rare condition when I don’t even have the means to afford his treatment anymore?” - Nitin Ramesh Naiknavare, father

Nitin holds back his tears as he talks about his 5-year-old son Devansh fighting this deadly disease. In the last two months, he has seen rare condition change his son completely. Once a happy and jovial boy, Devansh now spends his time on the hospital bed in pain, waiting for the day he gets his childhood back. However, his parents Nitin and Rupali just can’t afford his chemotherapy any longer.

When The Doctor Said He Has Rare Condition, I Broke Down

Devansh was like any other child before rare condition ravaged his life - he loved playing with his older brother, watching cartoons and even going to school. However, he hasn’t been able to do any of that since he was diagnosed with blood rare condition two months ago. What began as a normal fever, soon turned persistent. Devansh then complained of severe headaches, body aches and fatigue. Nitin and Rupali never imagined that these symptoms would turn out to be a deadly disease.

“We did so many tests, and when the results came back the doctor told us to admit him immediately. We were worried but never thought it would be rare condition. When the doctor finally told us he has rare condition I was shocked. I broke down, but I didn’t think twice about starting his treatment.”

Devansh has been undergoing chemotherapy since February. He’s tired, afraid and cries every time he has to get injections or tests. All he wishes is to go back home. However, he needs to continue chemotherapy to fight rare condition and get his childhood back.

Nitin Hasn’t Been Able To Work, He’s Struggling To Afford Treatment

Nitin, a security gaurd, has been doing the best he can for his sick son. He borrowed money from relatives and has spent nearly 90,000 rupees on his treatment so far.

“But I haven’t been able to go back to work in a month. Devansh falls sick very often and we have to be ready to take him to the hospital at any time. When he’s undergoing chemotherapy, we spend all our time at the hospital. I used to earn 13,000 rupees a month, and now I don’t have even that. We can’t afford to stop his treatment, we can’t lose our child.”

Nitin and Rupali need your support to continue their son’s chemotherapy so that he can fight blood rare condition. They’ve done everyhting in their power so far, and now, they can’t go on alone any longer. Donate now to save Devansh’s life.
