Support HWCT Provide Oxygen Supplies To The Helpless Citizens of Mumbai During The Second Wave

Mumbai being the largest commercial city is facing huge shortage of hospital admissions as most of the hospitals are working beyond their operational limits. This increasing burden of COVID positive patients, 950+ recorded fatalities per day, lack of life-saving equipment like oxygen cylinders and concentrators are crippling our healthcare infrastructure. 

At the onset of the pandemic last year, when hospitals were facing a dire need for protective gear and equipment, we at Human Welfare Charitable Trust, India had responded to stand strong beside our saviours, our healthcare heroes. And we were able to fill the gap by working hand-in-hand with our corona warriors, boosting their energy levels through various interventions through this mission and helping those who were risking their lives to save ours. This time too, they want to do their bit.

HWCT is supporting the integration of rural schools with the modern-day education systems that focus on Skill Development, Education Enablement, and Employment. HWCT India has a Three-Fold Initiative that focuses on Digital Learning, Skill Alignment, and Increasing Employability of adolescents in rural areas

Oxygen supply - the need of the hour

Images of many patient families crying and crowding outside hospitals desperate to get urgent medical help for their kith and kin is etched in our memories. Thousands have lost their loved ones to this growing crisis. There is a critical and immediate need for oxygen for the serious home quarantined patients and oxygen concentrators to be given free of cost on returnable basis. In response to this, we are reaching out to you for your humble support. Your support will help the patients by: 

Providing oxygen Support:

• By setting up oxygen cylinder point in Malad area facility, which will be serving over 100 patients and the refill will be provided to them FREE OF COST, until the stocks last. The cylinders will be re-filled and reused to other patients who are NOT able to get hospital admission and are feeling breathlessness and are in need of oxygen. Our panel doctors will verify the need and assist them with further process.

• By providing oxygen concentrators which use oxygen from the air and convert it to medical grade oxygen. A patient in need of a concentrator needs to be on it for 5-7 days. These lifesaving machines will be provided to poor families for FREE OF COST on a returnable basis. These machines will be sanitized and will be re-issued to the next patient in queue.

Process to be followed: 

• HWCT India has Partnered with charitable clinics, Municipal Corporations, State Health Ministry, hospitals and doctors and community networks, who have been authorized to supply equipment to charitable trusts and not for profit organizations.

• The cylinders and concentrators will be issued only after HWCT’s strict due diligence framework of verifying all details of the patients and his financial condition check.
