Radhapati Hari Dasa spends all his days in the service of others. What he cherishes the most about helping others, is that he gets to learn more about their struggles. Whether it’s poor families, women abandoned by their own or someone struggling with a disease, everyone confides in Radhapati Hari Dasa because of his kind-heartedness.
“Just yesterday, during our feeding drive, a poor and hungry man with tuberculosis came to us and asked if he could borrow 200 rupees. When I found out he was suffering from TB, I knew 200 would just not be enough. So we got him admitted to a nearby hospital, informed his family, and are now looking after his hospital expenses. Braj Jan Care Foundation was started three years ago in Vrindavan with the aim to feed the poor and underprivileged. Today, their generosity is known all over the holy city.
They Continued To Help Those In Need Throughout The Pandemic
Radhapati grew up watching his family, especially his mother, help anyone that came their way. Deeply inspired by her kindness, he knew he wanted to follow in her footsteps and do something for the needy. Radhapati then became associated with ISKCON in Juhu, worked sometime in Gwalior and when he moved back to Vrindavan, he started Braj Jan Care Foundation.

“When we began, we had a small kitchen, hardly any utensils and made just one dish - khichdi. We didn’t have enough people, but we were motivated. Once we started feeding people, we knew we had to focus on this cause. That’s also when the pandemic began, so suddenly there were many more people who needed help. But we didn’t let it stop us. We got a bigger kitchen and started making a variety of dishes to feed hundreds.”

Braj Jan Care Foundation now distributes food to around 300 people every day. This includes sadhus, underprivileged people, abandoned women and more. There have been many times when the Foundation has been the reason someone gets their first meal of the day, and the joy on their faces speaks volumes about the impact even one fresh meal can have.
The Foundation also feeds people outside hospitals. Along with feeding drives, they have a gaushala and three schools that they run. Radhapati is determined to reach out to every single hungry soul in Vrindavan, but he can’t do it without your help.
Help Him Feed Many More Hungry Souls In The Holy City
“There are so many more areas where we can feed people, but we don’t have the means. We need help with getting groceries so that we can more food, and we also need a vehicle to transport the food to different locations safely. Currently, we don’t have a vehicle of our own and face many challenges because of this. Just a few days ago, one of the containers carrying food fell while it was being transported, and so much food was wasted. We don’t want this to happen ever again. Every grain is important.”
While Braj Jan Care Foundation has a few regular donors, most people donate during special occasions. This isn’t enough to keep their daily operations going. With your support, they can continue feeding 300 people and more every day.
