Badi Bata program by Government of Telangana

Badi bata is week-long  students  enrollment drive conducted by Government of Telangana across districts. The objective was to identify children in the age group of four to fourteen who had dropped out of schools and to enroll them in schools. Badi bata program also ensures school quality, sanitation, hygiene in all schools and special training centers for children of migrant families. As apart of Badi Bata program teachers of several government schools will intensify student enrollment drive by undertaking door-to-door campaign.

Suryapet district is all set to organise Badi Bata program from the 1st of June to till 10th of June, 2018. DEO of Suryapet Dist Smt. Chaitanya says“We have set a target of increasing the enrollment of students into government schools in the district through Badi Bata. Our primary focus would be on schools with zero enrollment and mandals where dropout rate is more 30% ” .She says we are doing our level best to create confidence among public on government schools and increase the strength of students

To compete with the private schools, educational department has taken many steps to ensure quality education in state run schools.District collector Surendra Mohan says “In our schools the background of bright students was analysed by the teachers based on which they were given personalized attention and special coaching after school hours.”

To attract more students to school, educational department is planning to distribute school bags,notebooks,stationery upon enrolling students in Badi Bata program. Regarding the same a crowdfunding campaign is hosted on Donatekart with whom they have teamed up to raise funds to procure school supplies. Through this campaign, we hope we can reach some generous donors who would want to join us in this noble cause and help complete this campaign successfully.
