Help Anjali Gopalan Give 700+ Abandoned Animals A Better Life.

When you look at Chintu, you will see a sweet, friendly little dog. But poor Chintu has been through a world of pain. His owner tortured him and took no care of his needs. He had burnt Chintu’s ears with cigarettes and made a hole in it, which then became infected, full of maggots. Luckily for Chintu, he was rescued by All Creatures Great And Small (ACGS), a rescue shelter in Haryana. Today, Chintu’s ear has healed and he is a happy dog in a safe environment. 

Like Chintu, there are hundreds of dogs and animals, stray and domestic, who are injured and abandoned. India has the highest number of stray dogs, and most of them live a difficult life. They face injuries, diseases, starvation, and death on a daily basis. Every day is a struggle, with no guaranteed food, shelter, water, or security. Fights with other animals and humans are common, leaving them injured and in pain. It’s a truly painful sight to witness starved and injured animals on the street.

Ms. Anjali Gopalan, founder of All Creatures Great And Small (ACGS), strives to change the plight of these helpless animals. After volunteering at an animal shelter in Delhi in 2010, Anjali was alarmed by the poor conditions of the shelter. She saw that it lacked care and compassion and hence, decided to start her own animal shelter. Named All Creatures Great And Small (ACGS), this shelter in Harayana is a sanctuary for 700 animals including 450 stray dogs, cats, goats, horses, and other animals who are injured, sick, or challenged.

Anjali cares deeply for these animals and works tirelessly to protect them. She is a renowned humanitarian and activist who has worked with children with HIV for over two decades, opened numerous clinics, and received many awards and honours. She was named among Time Magazine’s world’s 100 most influential people for her pioneering work on HIV/AIDs and LGBT rights in India. She has dedicated her life to helping those in need, and ACGS is a reflection of that. 

However, Anjali now needs your help to feed her family of animals. 700+ animals rely on her for their everyday needs, and she just can’t take care of them without your help. Your contribution will help her buy food and keep them happy and healthy.
