Wisdom Foundation is dedicated to the development of tribal communities, especially forest tribes, whose livelihood depends on forests and nature as they live in the forest without any basic human needs and live there only for food. Still these are many tribal areas living in forests in India and they are far from development and neglected by the system.
Proposed request for 25 forest-dwelling tribal families in Andipatti Taluk, Theni District, Tamil Nadu. Living there for more than 60 years without basic facilities like food, clothing, shelter, roads, electricity, drinking water etc., The source of livelihood of tribal communities is selling forest products nearby towns and it is not at all enough to support their families and Women and children are the most affected by the conditions.
Due to darkness in the forest they face deadly problems like snacks, rats, wild animals and other insects, they use fire hood for lighting and sometimes kerosene is available for their house lamps. This is the pathetic condition of the tribal communities; the unreached communities are not getting any development. Wisdom Foundation felt it is an urgent need to provide lighting to 25 families through solar panel system, hand batteries and solar street lights etc.
