    Project

Stray animals can often be found surviving on the little food leftovers near the garbage with no water. The lactating and aged animals suffer the most. Prior to lockdown, every stray animal survived their days by scavenging food from the garbage bins or with the help of some kind of street vendors, hawkers or pedestrians. Post lockdown, it has been a real tough time for these strays to survive without any food to eat, nor water to drink or any kind of medical emergency.

How the foundation helps hundreds of animals

Wagging Tales Foundation is a registered non profit since October 2020 promoting animal welfare through its feeding, vaccination, spay/neuter and rescue initiatives. They have been feeding 450+ stray animals ( primarily dogs ) on a regular basis in South and Central Delhi.Around 5-8 cases of injured stray dogs/cats are reported to them on a daily basis and they provide immediate medical assistance to those in need.

They have also rescued more than 150+ stray animals including cows and rabbits needing immediate attention and from illegal breeders, animal abusers etc. Most of them got necessary medical treatment and got released in their territories but several of them are in medical boarding due to their condition rendering them unfit to be left on roads. The Foundation has installed cemented water pots at 80+ locations to ensure drinking facilities for stray animals at all times. The strays need your support nowWagging Tales Foundation have been working tirelessly to ensure no stray animal suffers due to lack of food or water. They have been rapidly increasing their feeding spots in adjoining areas of South and Central Delhi as strays living in the remotest areas were severely hit by the lockdown.

In addition to all these Field activities, Wagging Tales Foundation also runs a 24x7 round the clock Recovery Center cum Medical Boarding in Ghitorni. At any given point of time, our Recovery Center holds around 160+ dogs & 8+ cats. Our Recovery Center primarily takes in animals who need immediate medical attention, abuse & abandoned cases, hit & run cases, paralyzed animals, ABC surgeries along with dogs infected with fatal diseases such as Distemper & Parvo.

The numbers of dog they picked up for Sterilization almost hit to around 80 a month due to no government MCD vehicles was under operation during lockdown. Their rescues grew tremendously as a lot of veterinary hospitals were working with very limited capacity. They have rescued over 90+ cases and sterilized over 130+ animals in the past 5 months

    .

They need more people to come forward and help in whatever way they can so that can ensure the smooth functioning of our activities. As they continue to help more animals in distress, we need more people to come forward with us.
