Project “Kaushalyam” – Skill Development Program

The Tresna Foundation has advocated the need to empower rural women for the development of rural villages. Tresna has been constantly leading and encouraging women from rural regions to step forward and learn new skills since our foundation. As a part of the program, Tresna organized a meeting with rural women at Raghupura village in Nadiad Taluka. The meeting proved fruitful, as we saw the passion to learn new skills ignite in the women assembled at the meeting. We also witnessed them share their experiences of life and their dislikes at the meeting.

We at Tresna Foundation are commencing sewing classes at Juna Acher, Sabaramti Area, Ahmedabad. We have been able to launch our learning center in such a short time. Our Project Kaushalyam intends to benefit women with the bliss of learning and financial stability. More so as the womenfolk in some regions have less access to such learning facilities nearby. It is a blessing in disguise for the women beneficiaries to fulfill their aspirations and pursue their ambitions.

Team Tresna believes in nurturing young minds with an additional skillset. As a part of the objective under Project Kaushalyam, we were able to teach weaving and stitching to 133 young girls from classes 6th to 8th at Kanyashala Prathmik Shala, Chaklasi, Nadiad. The girls participate enthusiastically to learn the skills

Tresna has advocated learning skills to further their ambitions. The girls can aptly learn creative ideas and explore the vast sphere of knowledge. Our tutors give expert guidance to the children in learning new skills and empowering them.

APPROACH and IMPACT 

The survey meeting enabled us to shed light on working towards women's empowerment and unfolding the aspirations of rural women. Tresna has always been committed to the cause and has voiced the need for redesigning lives with skillsets. Project Kaushalyam is designed exclusively to teach new skills to women and young girls in order to achieve their goals. The skills, such as sewing classes and training given to them, will open doors, new avenues, and freedom of choice. Tresna believes firmly in enhancing the lives of women by teaching them skills. The proposed Kaushalyam centers will be a turning point for women dwelling in the village and neighboring areas. The powerful impact shall envisage the growth in skill development of women and young girls. They can seek suitable job opportunities armed with their skills. The women receiving the training can form a small-scale unit to work together with due support. The tutors will ably spearhead the Project to achieve expectant results. Project Kaushalyam is set to usher in an energy unparalleled, with Tresna and the patrons at the forefront.
