For many children at Manav Charities, this is the only home they have ever known. It’s a place where children who have been left behind, neglected, or forgotten finally find warmth, safety, and love. Your support keeps this home alive and gives these children a second chance at life.

Every day in Vijayanagar, Bangalore, hope quietly grows at Manav Charities. You can hear it in the laughter of children playing together, see it in a child’s smile as they learn to write their name, and feel it in the gentle care of teachers who treat every child like their own. Here, children with intellectual disabilities—many of whom are orphans or come from families unable to care for them—are welcomed with open arms.

Manav Charities was founded in 1999 by Rotary Club members who wanted to help children and women in need. What started as a small project has grown into a safe haven for about 70 children. These children face many challenges, including social isolation, lack of love, and abandonment. But at Manav Charities, they are given the chance to grow, learn, and feel like they belong.

The boarding school at Manav Charities is home to 15 boys aged 10 to 15. Here, they receive more than just food and shelter—they get an education tailored to their needs. Older children and young adults, aged 12 to 25, attend the rehabilitation center, where they learn important life skills like brushing their teeth, counting money, and signing their names. They also learn vocational skills such as tailoring and mechanics. Some have even gone on to pass their tenth and twelfth-grade exams. These children are not just special—they are full of potential.

Running Manav Charities is not easy. The need for food, education, therapy, and safe housing has grown as the organization has expanded to Belgaum and Gulbarga. The costs are high, and the challenges are many. But with the help of generous supporters like you, Manav Charities continues to give these children hope.
