Introduction:
In many rural and underserved regions, people with disabilities face heightened challenges, including limited mobility, restricted employment opportunities, and often minimal social support. These factors result in significant food insecurity and malnutrition among disabled individuals, affecting their overall health, well-being, and dignity. This project by Gramiya Valarchi Sangam aims to provide sustainable food support for foodless disabled persons in the Chengalpattu district, ensuring no disabled individual goes hungry.
Objectives:
- Provide regular food support to foodless disabled individuals and their families.
- Raise awareness within the community about the unique challenges faced by disabled persons and the importance of inclusive support.
- Foster partnerships with local businesses, food suppliers, and donors to create a sustainable, community-supported food assistance program.
