    Project

    Hi all,

We are Samarpan Pratishthan and we are here to appeal to all of you to stand by us in our mission to empower women in India.
While the challenges women face are well known, it's equally true that even a small amount of care and support can bring about a significant change. Every woman has the potential to flourish, and we firmly believe that with your assistance, we can offer them that opportunity.
Let's unite to create a world that embraces inclusivity. Join forces with us to contribute towards shaping a better and more empowered future for women.
    Warm regards,
    Samarpan Pratishthan

Maher stands as a steadfast support center for women facing destitution. Samarpan is committed to offering both short- and long-term shelter for women in distressing circumstances. Since 2008, our foundation has extended vital support to over 5,900 women, of which 970 have found shelter, and 28 have been aided through remarriage.

Our primary emphasis remains on furnishing legal support and services, ensuring that these women are not denied their fundamental rights. With increasing referrals from district police and R.P.F., Samarpan is resolute in its determination to provide daily wages and employment opportunities for at least 150 women. The data underscores that this number is poised to grow in the future.

Samarpan Pratishtan's mission is deeply rooted in the visionary insights of renowned philanthropist and thinker, Mr. Sharad Patil. His belief that women possess inherent qualities of creativity and innovation, fostered by their capacity for reproduction, guides our purpose. Yet, despite this potential, women often find themselves marginalized and treated as secondary citizens in society.

The challenges faced by women have reached unprecedented levels in our supposedly progressive society. Since its inception in 2008, Samarpan Pratishtan has been a beacon of change. Over the past 13 years, we have not only addressed the difficulties faced by women, children, the elderly, and the challenged but also confronted the most challenging and heart-wrenching situations they endure.

Samarpan believes that a dignified life is the right of every vulnerable individual. In pursuit of this belief, we are developing "SANZAGRAM," a dedicated community that fosters love and belongingness. Here, these marginalized groups will find solace and an opportunity for capacity building.

The stark reality is that gender-based violence continues to plague our nation. According to the NCRB's 2019 records, a staggering 405,861 cases of gender violence were reported. Shockingly, Maharashtra alone accounted for 47 r*pe cases and numerous women's murders – the highest in the country. With an average of 87 cases of r*pe per day nationwide, Maharashtra recorded 2,299 cases of r*pe and 10,472 cases of abuse and humiliation.

Among the metropolises, Delhi, Mumbai, and Nagpur stand as unfortunate epicenters of heinous crimes against women, with 12,902, 6,519, and 1,144 recorded crimes respectively.

In this dire context, Samarpan stands unwavering. Despite our limited resources, our determination to fight against these societal evils remains steadfast. We have historically taken risks to safeguard the interests of marginalized women, fueled by our resolute commitment to create a safer, more equitable world.
