Story of the campaigner

S. N. Das Art and Cultural Trust is an Indian non-government organization based in Kalyani, WB. Our aim is to spread art activities all over India. We prioritize the upliftment of economically poor artists and nurture their talents with great care so as to help them realize their true potential.

It was established in 1994 and was registered as a Non-Profit Organization in 2015. In 2020, this NGO is Registered by NITI Aayog and MSME. Currently, it has 4 branches in 2 different states of Rajasthan and West Bengal. In West Bengal, it has two branches with free art course especially for those who are economical backward classes. We also offer diploma courses in various fields of Visual Arts.

Our primary motive is to find talented individuals, help them grow and provide them with suitable employment thereafter. We even offer scholarship for needy students. We organize online art contests, seminars on art, online/offline art classes, art workshops, webinars, etc. Overall, our motto is to spread the knowledge of Fine Arts so that it reaches everyone and educate more people about this field and its vast career opportunities.

Our mission is to develop skill and build communication through the power of fine arts. We envision a country where artists are valued, cared for and appreciated enough. A time when no child would refrain from pursuing their passion of art due to financial difficulties. A collective realization will dawn upon everyone that art too can provide great career opportunities indeed.

Assam, Rajasthan and West Bengal are the destinations that S. N. Das Art and Cultural Trust is majorly focusing on for now. The underprivileged learners of these states will get adequate help along with the artists who have joined us or will be joining us on our mission. Artists from over a dozen states are already working with us hand in hand.

Recently, S. N. Das Art and Cultural Trust has commenced their residence facility for Art Students from various states who have enrolled in the art courses that we provide. We currently have half a dozen artists who have already joined us and have started residing. Along with that we are planning to open an old age home (Sakura Abode) in a month, which will house around 25 elderly individuals – around 40% of them will be able to avail our services free-of-cost. As the pandemic had increased the plight of the elderly and the receding economy has rendered many homeless. We plan to do what little we can to help these needy beings. Since our culture teaches us that we must always respect our elders we plan to not only believe in so but also take action accordingly and thus the idea of such an old age home was born.

To maintain and house such great numbers of people and at such a low cost, undoubtedly, we need financial/supply aid from kind souls like you, who believe in us and our cause and thus, generously extend a helping hand from time to time. We are eternally grateful to all those who have faith in our mission and help us in achieving so.

We are hopeful these contributions will help us bring a drastic change to our service quality and affect our students and beneficiaries in a positive manner.
