Story of the campaigner
Our volunteers bring into action; when we receive a report of a stray animal, our volunteers catch it and bring it to one of our shelters.
Our shelter and foster volunteers then arrange for necessary veterinary and animal birth control procedures, and place them up for adoption.
We’re working to get care, food and shelter for the stray animals of Hyderabad, India. Dozens of animals of all kinds given the care they need to survive.
But we’re not done. The streets of Hyderabad in India are a rough place for stray animals, forced to fend for themselves against food scarcity, abuse, and temperatures up to 115 degrees.
When I first saw the plight of these poor creatures, I knew I had to help. We formed our foundation to provide rescue crews, food, medical care, and training to give a brand new life to neglected dogs, cats, livestock and more. We’re thinking even bigger.
About the NGO
Stray Animal Foundation of India, founded in 2020, is a shelter based animal rescue in Hyderabad, India.
1. We’re fighting to help the animals no one else will.
2. We provide vet care for 20-40 dogs in very critical condition every month. Accidents, Injured, challenged, paralyzed, seniors, maggot wounds, diseases and many more. Most of the dogs have fresh wounds and their eyes make it very clear for all the pain that was overtaking her body and the suffering they had to endure.
3. We feed almost 200 mouths every month.
4. We vaccinate and sterilize 40 dogs every month
5. In the lockdown, we fed 250 homeless animals every day.
6. COVID is hard on everyone, but the stray animals in India are the ones who are paying the consequences the most. Many of these strays are ending up in accidents, and no one looks back to help them. Since they are not getting any attention, most of them are not able to nurse their babies. Rescuers are currently partnering with local feeders in order to save these innocent pup's lives.
