After a life filled with challenges, responsibilities and putting their families first, senior citizens just want the last years of their lives to be spent with their loved ones in comfort and joy. Unfortunately, many of them never get to experience this. Thousands of elderlies are abandoned by their families even today. Left behind in heartbreaking conditions, these seniors are often left with no hope or support.
For the last 12 years, Ramlal Old Age Home has been helping hundreds of senior citizens by giving them a safe place, healthy meals and warm clothes. This winter, they need your support to continue giving them the best life possible.
Winters Can Be A Difficult Time For The Elderly
Every person at Ram Lal Old Age Home is looked after with love and utmost care. They are treated just like family and their health and well-being are made a priority. Many of these elderlies have spent winters before on the streets, shivering in the bitter cold and battling several illnesses. Old, weak and having not eaten for days, their difficulties only increase during winter.
“We don’t want any of them to struggle in the cold when they are here. We need two sets of blankets and bedsheets for each of them because we need to ensure all their beddings are clean and sanitary. So many of them are bedridden, and they deserve to feel comfortable. We make sure to wash the blankets every week, and that’s when we face shortages.” - a caretaker at the old age home.
With an increasing number of elderlies coming to the old age home, they’re struggling to look after them without support.

About the NGO:
For the last 12 years, Ramlal Old Age Home is a safe haven for hundreds of senior citizens who have nowhere to go. They provide safe, spacious, furnished rooms for their residents with attached washrooms and personal assistants to help them move about, bathe, eat, etc. Around 350 old men and women call this their home and here they are treated like family.
