Over 2000 Injured Wildlife Have Been Rescued By This Mechanic From Rajasthan, Support Him

Peera Ram Bishnoi has grown up around nature and wildlife. He still recalls the days when he would work with his parents on a farm in Rajasthan and would see wildlife entering their fields. Even when they damaged the crops, his parents didn’t seem upset or angry, and this left Peera Ram extremely curious.
“When I asked them why it didn’t bother them, they said something to me that I will never forget. They said that it’s us who cause trouble to wildlife and it’s on us to protect them. That completely changed my perspective.” - Peera Ram, Founder, Bishnoi Wildlife Rescue And Rehabilitation.
In over 10 years, Peera Ram has rescued more than 2000 wildlife. This includes deer, chinkaras, nilgais, peacocks, rabbits, monkeys etc. And he’s not alone in his efforts - his entire family supports him in this endeavour and is dedicated to ensuring that these animals and birds are safe and healthy.
Peera Ram started Bishnoi Wildlife Rescue And Rehabilitation in 2010 after witnessing some of the worst accidents cause by speeding vehicles while working at a puncture repair shop on the National Highway. He’s seen these animals wince and cry in pain, or die a gruesome death. After rescuing a Chinkara that was hit by a speeding vehicle, Peera Ram decided that this was his calling.
Bishnoi Wildlife Rescue And Rehabilitation is spread across 25 bighas of land, with wildlife ranging from peacocks, blackbucks, deer, and calves among others who’ve been rescued from a terrible fate and have found a safe home there. Though Peera Ram has already made a difference in the lives of so many, he wants to do more.
