Support Peedu's People to Help Stray Dogs

Peedu’s People is a 501.C3 not for profit organization founded in the US in 2014. It’s purpose is to unite a global group of people dedicated to offering compassion, awareness, equality and a chance at a better life for all species; human and animal.In 2016 it was registered the NGO in Punjab, India with eligibility to work nationwide.

Our areas of focus are 

- Reducing Human-Animal conflict by effective bite and rabies management.

- Humane education in schools and colleges and creating a culture of volunteering.

- Prevention of cruelty to domesticated animals (street dogs/pets/ cows/ horses/ birds). Reducing human-animal conflict 

- Vaccinating street pups against deadly diseases like Parvo, Distemper and Rabies. Vaccinating cows against FMD

- Pollution control of Environment by pollution control drives and awareness.

1) We have vaccinated over 2000  dogs against Rabies over the past 5 years. Have done Rabies Awareness camps and have over 10,000 Hours of Rabies counselling experience with dog-bite victims. We have also done more than 500 Cruelty cases against dogs, horses, donkeys, snakes, monkeys, chicken, cows, birds. We have got over 200 Challans issued and have 7 cases pending in court at the moment. 

2) We have done workshops in over 200 schools in India to create animal lovers from students, to induce compassion in their life and become a part of a humane-education curriculum at their school. Over 25,000 students have been positively impacted by our efforts

3) We have vaccinated over 1200 puppies and sterilized over 1000 dogs in the last 5 years. We vaccinate against Parvo and Distemper and create awareness for vaccinations. These vaccines are provided for free. We run campaigns to create awareness for vaccinations.

4) We run cleanliness drives in the city and have helped create environment policies for a school and a university. We have got over 200 Challans issued in Chandigarh for blowing their horn in 'No Horn zones'. This is done in collaboration with Chandigarh Traffic Police

We vaccinate stray puppies on the street against deadly diseases like rabies, parvo and distemper. Due to lack of awareness about vaccination and lack of funding or desire by rescuers to take the puppies to a vet, we offer these vaccines for free. We vaccinate the pups where they are by driving door to door (Its is like going door to door in slums giving polio drops to eliminate Polio from poor children's lives). 

We also do sterilizations of puppies when they are ready and the mother. This calls for post operative care and medicines (antibiotics and immunity boosters). It also calls for healthy food.
