It’s never easy watching your loved ones suffer. It’s even more difficult during a global pandemic when you’re miles away from home. There are thousands of Indians who’ve watched the country being ravaged by the second wave on the news, social media or heard heartbreaking stories through their families. Though a sense of panic and helplessness set in, Indians outside the country were determined to do everything in their power to help.
Pratyancha Pardeshi is one such person. As she sat in London watching the disaster unfold in India, she struggled to find a way to help initially. She then decided to set up an initiative to procure oxygen concentrators in the UK and China and arrange the end to end transportation to hospitals in smaller towns which serve the underprivileged in India.
Pratyancha started this with the aim to help those in rural India get the medical equipment they need to survive this crisis. The shortage of oxygen supply is exacerbated in remote areas where hospitals have the least resources and infrastructure and supply chains are at a breaking point
Until now Pratyancha and others supporting this cause have secured twenty 5 litre concentrators which have already reached hospitals in rural India, and twelve 10 litre concentrators which are on their way to additional hospitals.
They are working with the following hospitals in India:
1. Vivekanand Memorial Tribal Hospital in Mysore Hospital (Karnataka): Provides affordable and quality health care for rural and tribal communities in Karnataka.

2. Ashwini Sahakari Rugnalaya Hospital in Solapur (Maharashtra): Is a key hospital in Solapur that provides healthcare to those from rural areas of Maharashtra.

3. Mahatma Gandhi Tribal Hospital under Mahan Trust in Melghat, Amratvati (Maharashtra): Serves the impoverished and tribal people in Melghat region of Maharashtra.

4. Mudoli and Masal Primary Health Care Centres in Chandrapur (Maharashtra): servicing tribal and underprivileged people in Chandrapur area.
5. SEARCH Hospital in Gadchiroli (Maharashtra): serving under-priveleged and tribals
6. Teosa Primary Health Care Centre in Amravati (Maharashtra)
7. Shahapur Primary Health Care Centre in Thane (Maharashtra)
Pratyancha now needs your help to ensure many more oxygen concentrators reach rural India where people are suffering every day. Having lost their livelihoods, these people can barely afford a meal, let alone oxygen supplies.
