Story of the changemaker
SGACC is India's oldest and Delhi's largest all animal hospital - cum - shelter.
It was founded in 1980. It's a 24x7 facility.
SGACC rescues, treats, rehabilitate sick and needy animals. It also serves as a training centre.
SGACC houses more than 5000 animals from dog, cat, primates, cattles to rodents.
It gives free treatments to all street animals and takes minimmum charge for owned pets.
SGACC does not get any grants from government or any other organizations. Whatever is earned from private opd's, in kind donation and donation is used for to sustain this hospital.
SGACC is a heaven for an animal in distress. On daily basis they get more than 100 dead bodies but now that space is not enough. Burial grounds needs modifications.
SGACC is the only hospital that never sleeps.
But this hospital needs help on daily basis.
