Promoting Harmony: Providing Care and Compassion to Stray Cows and Dogs in Chandigarh
Feel free to ask Campaigner for a new update on this Fundraiser.
Project
Chandigarh, often hailed as the 'City Beautiful,' is known for its urban planning and aesthetic appeal. However, like any other urban area, it is home to a significant number of stray cows and dogs. These animals play an essential role in our society, and it is our responsibility to ensure they live in harmony alongside us. Establishing a folder and food program for these animals not only demonstrates compassion but also helps create a more inclusive and caring community.
The Importance of Stray Animals: Stray cows and dogs are an integral part of Chandigarh's cultural and ecological fabric. Cows, revered in our culture, are often seen as symbols of divinity, while dogs provide companionship and act as guardians of our homes and streets. However, growing urbanization and changing lifestyles have led to an increase in the number of stray animals struggling to find food and shelter.
A Folder and Food Program: Implementing a folder and food program for these animals is a practical and humane solution to address their needs. This program could involve setting up designated feeding stations in public areas and providing regular medical checkups. Community members can contribute by donating food and funds, or by volunteering their time to ensure the success of this initiative.
Public Health: A well-fed and healthy population of stray animals can reduce instances of disease transmission, helping create a cleaner and healthier environment for residents.
Reduction in Nuisance: Adequate food and shelter can minimize incidents of animals scavenging in garbage bins, leading to cleaner streets and a reduction in public disturbances.
Among them were the market dogs and cows of the city, as we tried to feed the maximum number of street dogs. PACFA (shelter) dogs who are undergoing their treatment and are totally dependent on us need our help too.
It costs 15,000 for a week's supply of food for these dogs.
With your help, we can ensure they receive the food and care they need to live long, happy lives. Together, we can make a difference in the world and show these dogs that they are not alone.
About the NGO: Protection and Care for Animals (PACFA), based in Chandigarh, is a dedicated non-governmental organization (NGO) that has taken up the noble cause of caring for the stray cows and dogs in the city. With a passionate team of animal lovers and volunteers, they tirelessly work to provide food, shelter, medical care, and a safe environment for these vulnerable animals.
