This 2-Year-Old Doesn’t Understand Why His Body Is Attacking Him

Feel free to ask Campaigner for a new update on this Fundraiser.

“He cries at night and holds my finger tightly, like he’s afraid I will disappear. He doesn’t know what cancer is. He only knows that his body hurts, and his parents look scared all the time. I keep smiling at him so he doesn’t feel afraid. But inside, I am breaking every single day.”
Devakamma, Manjunath’s mother

Manjunath is just two years old. Manjunath has been diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a severe form of blood cancer.

At this age, children learn how to run, speak new words, and cling to their parents when they are scared. Manjunath should have been doing the same. Instead, his days are filled with needles, hospital rooms, and pain he cannot explain.

He cries often. Not because he is stubborn or hungry but because his tiny body is fighting a disease far too cruel for a child this young.

When A Child Falls Sick, A Family’s World Collapses

Manjunath’s parents, Mounesh and Devakamma, come from a humble background. Mounesh works as a driver, earning just enough to keep the family afloat. Devakamma is a homemaker, caring for Manjunath full-time.

When their son began falling sick repeatedly, refusing food, growing weak, and crying through the night, they never imagined the truth would be so devastating.

Test after test followed. Long hours of waiting. Silent corridors.
Then came the words no parent is prepared to hear. Blood cancer.

“Our legs went numb. I kept asking the doctor if there was some mistake. How can a child this small have cancer?” Mounesh says.

A Cure Exists. But It Comes At A Crushing Cost

This treatment offers him a real chance at life. A chance to grow up, go to school, and call out to his parents without pain.

But the cost of this life-saving treatment is ₹29,50,000. For a driver who earns daily wages, this amount is unimaginable.

Mounesh has already missed work due to hospital visits. The family’s savings are gone. Loans are piling up. Every day in the hospital pushes them deeper into debt.

“I can drive for hours without rest. I can take on any work. But no matter how hard I work, I cannot earn this kind of money in time. Watching my son suffer when there is a cure is killing me from inside,” says Mounesh. If the money does not come in time, this chance at survival may slip away. Not because treatment does not exist, but because it is unaffordable.

Please donate and help Manjunath survive. Your kindness can turn his tears into a future.
