Yakshit is just 1 year and 5 months old. At an age when he should be learning to walk, playing with his twin sister, and growing up surrounded by love, he is instead fighting a devastating battle against blood cancer.
Yakshit was diagnosed with blood cancer in September. Since then, his family’s life has revolved around hospital visits, chemotherapy, and the constant uncertainty of what comes next. His chemotherapy sessions are required almost every 10 days, making the treatment an exhausting and painful journey for such a young child.
Yakshit’s family lives in Noida, but his treatment is not taking place in Delhi. To ensure he can receive the care he needs, the family has had to stay in a rented accommodation away from home. Along with the medical bills, they now have to manage rent, travel, food, and other everyday expenses while caring for a seriously ill child.
The doctors have also indicated that Yakshit may need a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), depending on how his treatment progresses. His current treatment is already expected to cost around Rs 12 lakh. If a BMT becomes necessary, the financial burden could increase considerably.
The family had already gone through significant medical expenses when the twins were born. Their delivery was complicated, and almost all of their savings were spent at that time. Today, with those savings exhausted, they are struggling to keep up with Yakshit’s ongoing treatment.
There is another heartbreaking challenge that Yakshit’s mother faces every day. She is raising twins, and while Yakshit needs her constant presence during chemotherapy and hospital visits, his sister needs her mother too. She is often forced into an impossible situation, choosing which child she can be with while trying to care for both of them.
Despite everything, Yakshit continues to fight. He is far too young to understand why he has to endure repeated chemotherapy, hospital visits, and painful procedures. His family is doing everything they can to give him the treatment he needs and bring him back to the healthy, happy childhood he deserves.
But they cannot do it alone.
The family is now seeking support to help cover Yakshit’s ongoing chemotherapy, hospital and living expenses, and the potential cost of a Bone Marrow Transplant.
Every contribution, regardless of its size, can help the family continue Yakshit’s treatment during this difficult time. Sharing his fundraiser can also help reach people who may be able to support his journey.
Yakshit deserves the chance to grow up, play with his sister, and experience the simple joys of childhood. With timely treatment and the support of kind-hearted people, his family hopes to give him that chance.
