For Paramveer's parents, even finding time to eat a meal has become a luxury. Their days begin with hospital visits, medical tests, and running from one department to another, trying to do everything they can to save their little boy. His father barely gets a moment to eat, let alone rest. Every waking hour is spent caring for Paramveer, arranging his treatment, and hoping for better news.

At just 4.5 years old, little Paramveer should be busy playing, laughing, and enjoying the simple joys of childhood. Instead, this baby Sardar is fighting blood cancer.

“It started with a cough that would get better with medicines and then relapse. For nearly eight months, we took him to doctors hoping he would recover soon,” Paramveer’s father shares. 

It was only a month ago that their worst fears became a reality. Paramveer was diagnosed with blood cancer.

A diagnosis that changed everything for a family already struggling to make ends meet.

Paramveer's father works as a daily-wage labourer, earning barely Rs. 8,000 a month. Every rupee he earns goes towards keeping his family afloat, paying rent, and looking after his two little children. But ever since Paramveer's diagnosis, he has had to leave work to be by his son's side.

Today, the family has no steady source of income.

His days are spent caring for Paramveer, taking him to the hospital, and ensuring that his little boy gets the attention he needs. The hospital is nearly 1.5 hours away by bus, making every visit physically and financially exhausting. With a one-year-old child to care for as well, the family's struggles have only grown.

Until now, they have managed to get by with the kindness and support of others. But with no income coming in and the expenses of cancer treatment mounting, they are finding it increasingly difficult to continue.

A father who once worked hard to put food on the table now spends every waking moment hoping he can save his little boy.

For Paramveer, every day is another chance to fight. For his parents, every day is another prayer that their little boy will get better.

This baby Sardar deserves so much more than hospital corridors and medical tests. He deserves to run around, play with his little brother, laugh without worry, and grow up with dreams waiting to be fulfilled.
