For years, Navyashree’s father has worked as a BMTC bus driver, spending long hours on Bengaluru’s roads to ensure thousands of passengers reach their destinations safely. Every day, he leaves home before sunrise and returns late, doing everything he can to provide a better future for his family.
Today, however, the journey that matters most is the one he cannot navigate alone. His 15-year-old daughter, Navyashree, is fighting for her life.
Navyashree has been diagnosed with Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA), a serious and life-threatening medical condition that required urgent hospitalization. What began as a health emergency quickly escalated, leaving her critically ill and in need of intensive medical care.
She is currently admitted to St. John's Medical College Hospital, where doctors are providing round-the-clock treatment, including surgery and ICU care, to stabilize her condition.
“Just a few days ago, she was talking about school, her friends, and her future. We never imagined that our lives would change so suddenly,” says her father.
For the family, the past few days have been filled with fear, uncertainty, and sleepless nights.
The cheerful teenager who should be focusing on her studies and dreaming about her future is now surrounded by doctors, monitors, and life-saving medical equipment. Every update from the ICU has become a moment of hope and anxiety for her loved ones.
“As a father, I have always tried to protect my children from every difficulty. But today, all I can do is stand outside the ICU and pray that my daughter comes back to us,” he says.
Navyashree’s mother and father rarely leave her side. They spend their days waiting outside the ICU, hoping for good news and holding on to the belief that she will recover.
“No parent should have to see their child in this condition. We just want to hear her voice again and see her smile,” her family shares.
While her doctors continue to do everything possible for her recovery, the emotional and financial burden on the family continues to grow.
For her father, every passing day is a reminder that the daughter he has worked so hard to raise is now facing the toughest battle of her young life.
Navyashree deserves the chance to return to school, spend time with her friends, and continue building the future she dreamed of.
Today, her family is holding on to hope and asking for support during this difficult time. Please come forward and help Navyashree get the treatment she urgently needs.
