Single Mother Saved One Son From Cancer, Now Fears Losing Another
20-year-old Habeeb Ulla Shariff had just completed his ITI course and was preparing to take up a job. After years of hardship, he was finally ready to stand on his feet and support his mother, who has raised her three children alone since her husband passed away. But before he could begin his life, he fell terribly sick. He was diagnosed with blood cancer.
“He kept telling me that once he got a job, our struggles would end. Now he is in the ICU fighting for life,”- mother, Mausina Banu
When One Son Fought For Life, She Never Imagined the Other Would Join Him
Last year, her younger son Inayat (16) was diagnosed with the same rare disease. Mausina sold every bit of property they ever owned to save him, praying he would recover. Just when he was about to live his life again, go to school, his condition worsened, and he was moved to the ICU. Before she could even get out of that shock, Habeeb was also admitted to the ICU.
“They tell me to be strong, but how do I stay strong when both my sons are fighting death under the same roof? It feels like my heart is being torn apart. Every morning I pray asking for only one thing, to let me walk out of this hospital with both my sons alive.”- mother, Mausina Banu
All they have is each other, and now their hope is shattering
When Mausina lost her husband to a sudden heart attack nine years ago, her life came crashing down. With no income and no work experience, she relied solely on her siblings to survive and raise her three children.
Her children have always been a pillar of strength for Mausina. They never had much, but they had each other, and that was enough to survive every storm. Habeeb, being the eldest, became the quiet protector of the family. The siblings relied on and looked up to him. But now, with both her sons fighting for life in the ICU, the very future they built their hopes on is slipping through their fingers.
Habeeb Needs Urgent Treatment to Survive
Habeeb needs immediate chemotherapy followed by a bone marrow transplant. The treatment costs 35 lakh rupees, a sum that is impossible for a mother who has already lost everything while trying to save her younger son.“I could still hold on to something when Inayat needed treatment. But now, for Habeeb, I find myself with nothing left- no home, no savings, nothing. It scares me to think he may not even get the chance to fight. I cannot fight this alone.”- mother, Mausina Banu
Habeeb understands his condition but still tries to smile when his mother enters the room. He tells her he will survive and take care of her one day, but his weakening body tells a different story. This family needs your help to survive.
Donate now and help Habeeb get the treatment he needs. Every contribution matters.
